Events
CCCS uses special events as fundraising opportunities and to increase community awareness of the growing challenges faced by consumers. Our special events are committee-driven, and all funds raised support our agency’s counseling and education programs that benefit thousands of clients each year. These gatherings draw support from industry and community leaders in an effort to help families and individuals experiencing financial crisis situations.
CCCS produces the following events to raise awareness of our services:
Purse Strings is a cocktail reception and silent auction of handbags, wallets and accessories from well-known designers and local boutiques and artists to benefit Consumer Credit Counseling Service. This unique auction benefits CCCS educational programs that focus on helping women and young adults learn how to cope with reduced income due to major life changes, handle credit wisely, avoid financial devastation after a disaster, build money management skills and reach financial goals. This event is held annually in West Palm Beach and Atlanta.
At the Drive to Homeownership golf tournament, industry leaders take a swing to help sustain homeownership. Counseling and education can help consumers become successful homeowners -- and can also help homeowners overcome mortgage delinquencies and avoid foreclosure. This one-day tournament raises awareness among industry leaders about CCCS housing counseling and education programs. This event is held annually in Atlanta.
